Octagon is a small blog-like site for the ED collective. A weblog that is not a weblog.
The post are presented in a non-traditional way. All posts ‘fold out’ of a mathematical regular figure and can be filtered by theme and author.
Every author has her own avatar and color. By clicking the avatars, the corresponding articles are shown.
Each article contains or discusses a video, a photograph, or a text. The icons show what the medium of the article is.
The site relies heavily on animated Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG). VSG are very small in size and can be manipulated and animated in a fast, flexible and light-weight way.
